Our
History
A J Sheet Metal was established in 1969 by Al and Jean Dowhower,
who operated the business until 1976, when Todd and Ann
Bissell (pictured below) purchased the company. Todd and Ann
incorporated A J’s in 1978 and built our business into
the industry leader in West-Central Nebraska. In 2015,
Ed Flynn (far right) and Steen Nichols (immediate
right), long-time employees of A J
Sheet Metal, became partners with Todd and Ann. In 2017, the final sale of AJ Sheet Metal, Inc. to Ed and Steen took place, and they plan on
continuing with the same values and
integrity followed from the
 beginning. What began
as a small shop dedicated to customer service and
satisfaction has evolved into the largest and most
trusted Heating and Air Conditioning Company in the
area.
A J Sheet Metal’s service area includes all of Western and Central Nebraska. We take care of both city and rural patron’s with service, replacement and new construction needs reaching into Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming and South Dakota.
